The Wasian sibling duo you didn't expect, indie-folk pop duo Ersha Island 二沙岛 are Chinese-Pākehā siblings who combine unique sounds from their cultural heritage, exploring what it means to be of mixed identity through lyrics, storytelling and sound.
Having chalked up distinctions in Piano and Violin for Classical Performance at the China Conservatory of Music in Beijing at ages 11 and 8, the siblings now write compositions featuring a blend of Eastern and Western sounds.
