Rehearsals are under way for a festival premiere!

We’re getting ready to launch a festival! The 2021 Festival of Colour programme has gone to print, and we’ll be sharing it with our stakeholders at our launch event on Monday evening next week.

Directly afterwards it goes out to the world – check out our website from 7pm on the evening of Monday 1 February:, or look for a paper copy in your favourite café, shop or library in Wanaka and the surrounding region.

That’s less than a week, and you can start picking your shows from this year’s world-class line-up of music, theatre, dance, words, art, film and Aspiring Conversations.

We’ll also do a full run-down of the festival in next week’s e-newsletter.

We’ve sent invitations to our Sponsors, Patrons and Benefactors for our launch event next Monday – if you’re missing yours, have a peek in your junk email folder, or get in touch with Laura on Thank you to everyone who has RSVP’d!

Important Covid information

While planning for the Festival and enjoying our freedoms at Level 1, we are always mindful of the ongoing situation surrounding Covid 19 and the fact that we may change Alert levels.

With this in mind, we will be releasing tickets for sale in stages.

Covid Alert Level 2 tickets will be released first and will be valid if Wanaka returns to Alert Level 2 at Festival time and we need to reduce venue capacity.

Covid Alert Level 1 tickets will only be valid at Alert Level 1 and will be refunded if we return to Alert Level 2 at Festival time and have to reduce capacity.

If there are any changes to government guidelines that affect this ticketing system, we will be in touch to keep you informed.

Thanks for your understanding as we navigate these unusual and ever-changing circumstances.

REMEMBER: Wash your hands and scan, scan, scan!

Supporter’s corner: celebrating our SILVER Sponsors
We rely on a mix of funding, sponsorship, private support and ticket sales to make our festivals happen, and this year more than ever we need the help of our cornerstone funders to bring the best of arts and ideas to our community.

Thank you to our team of SILVER Sponsors – it is businesses like these that help us bring the festival back to our community year after year. Please support them and thank them for supporting us!
