Winter is approaching and we are getting busier and busier as we are now less than a year away from the next festival. Plans have been given an extra boost as we have been delighted to hear from Aurora that they will continue to support us as a Gold Sponsor.
Aurora is New Zealand’s sixth-largest electricity distributor, and Grady Cameron, Chief Executive of Aurora Energy said it was a simple decision after the success of the last festival. “We are delighted to continue our relationship with the Festival of Colour and support arts in the local community. As the region’s electricity network, Aurora delivers the energy that powers people’s lives at work and at play. We look forward to another exciting, thought-provoking and entertaining festival and the creative energy that it will generate. We are particularly pleased that our support will enable festival shows to tour around the region and reach the widest possible audience,” he said.

We are also delighted to welcome back Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu and Milford Asset Management as Silver Sponsors, and also Westpac Private Bank. And Cooke Howlison continue to support us as a Bronze Sponsor. We have also had confirmation from Otago Community Trust of their continued support, and several other local business sponsors including Infinity Investment Group, Graphite Management Ltd, Ray White Real Estate and Batchelar McDougall Consulting Ltd. We are grateful to all of our sponsors, patrons and benefactors. Knowing we are past half-way to our budget target means that we can plan with some confidence for the sixth biennial event that takes place in Wanaka, Queenstown and Central Otago next April. But we do need to close the budget gap – we need your confirmation as a patron or benefactor. Check out the list of current patrons and benefactors here.
