Words on Wheels is a collaboration between the New Zealand Book Council and the Southern Lakes Festival of Colour. Five writers and illustrators will tour the region, visiting will visit local schools and running writing workshops for students, as well as a ‘Speed Date an Author’ event, a fun way for pupils to meet a number of writers face to face.
Words on Wheels writers/illustrators: Liz Breslin (poet, short story writer, columnist), Dave Armstrong (playwright), Melinda Szymanik (young adult fiction), Bob Kerr (illustrator) and Kate Hunter (historian). The participating writers will also take part in Aspiring Conversations ‘True Stories Told Live’ – see below.
