Thursday 14 February we have a Valentine’s date at the Lake Wanaka Centre where we will reveal the programme for the fifth Festival of Colour. Queenstown launch the following morning on Friday 15 February at 8am at the Frankton Boat Shed Bistro and Café. It will be great to finally be able to talk about the fabulous line up of performers. We’ve already announced that Black Grace Dance Company will be performing ‘Vaka’– and we wish them well on their forthcoming tour of the US before they head down to Wanaka and Queenstown. And of course there’ll be SALON performed in Flair Hair Salon in Wanaka, and the wonderful Laurel Devenie in her outstanding one woman performance of Lady Ann Martin in ‘On the Upside Down of the World’.
The programme will go live on the website at 7pm on February 14 so everyone can see the amazing selection of theatre, dance, music and visual arts. The programmes will be emailed out to our database on the 14th, and posted around town in Wanaka and surrounding area and Queenstown from the 15th onwards. If you’re not sure whether you’re on the database then let us know now so we can be sure to send you a programme.
Patrons, benefactors and sponsors can book tickets from the 14th – but don’t worry we always keep back plenty of tickets for public sales.
Public ticket sales start on Monday 25 February at 8am – online, in person at the Lake Wanaka Centre, phone and the Queenstown and Cromwell isites. All box office sales will be from the Lake Wanaka Centre box office and not the Isite log cabin as we have done in the past. More details soon.
