Latest News : Festival Countdown # 10 - 13 March

Ticket sales strong
Ticket sales continue to go well for all of the performances in the 3rd Festival of Colour. A number of shows have sold out, but there are still tickets available for some of the main-bill Wanaka shows and for many of the touring venues; so why not a make a night of it, grab a group of friends and experience a performance in one of our region’s wonderful community halls.

The additional shows that were announced last week have sold well. There is still availability for Dave Armstrong’s new play Le Sud on Monday 4 May at 7pm at the Lake Wanaka Centre. Make sure you see this hilarious play at its world premiere in Wanaka before it tours round the south island.

More shows announced
Due to public demand, we are pleased to announce additional performances of two further shows

Strange Resting Places on Wednesday 29 April at 9pm at the Wanaka Masonic Lodge
Witches over Wanaka by Flat Out Productions, our own local theatre group based in Hawea Flat, on Sunday 3 May at 6pm at the Wanaka Masonic Lodge

Waiting lists have been in place for all of these shows and those people will be contacted first prior to public sales being made available on Monday 16 March at 8.30am at the Lake Wanaka i-SITE and on-line at www.festivalofcolour.co.nz.

Tickets to collect
If you have tickets to collect from the i-SITE in Wanaka then please head down there over the next few days to collect them, and remember to take the credit card you purchased the tickets with. Please check your tickets carefully as there can be no exchanges or refunds.

Further grant approved
And finally, we are delighted to announce the support of the New Zealand Community Trust who have approved a grant to the Festival of Colour. We are grateful to them and all our supporting funders, sponsors and patrons.

Be inspired … Be astounded … Be in Wanaka … Be there.

The next Festival of Colour takes place on 28 April to 3 May 2009 and is generously supported by Central Lakes Trust, Community Trust of Otago, Creative New Zealand, Infinity Investment Group, Queenstown Lakes District Council and Aurora.
