Latest News : Festival Countdown #6 - January 2009

Only 4 months to go

Happy New Year to all our subscribers and we are now into countdown for the 3rd Festival of Colour. The programme is now printed and invitations have been sent out to our Patrons, Sponsors, Benefactors and media for the programme launch on 12 February …so festival fever is just beginning.

The 2009 Festival of Colour is going to see Wanaka and the surrounding area buzzing with great performers and performances, art and artists.
The programme is jam-packed with outstanding local, national and international talent, so book your time off work now to make the most of the daytime events and all that the Festival has to offer.

 Supporters

Since our last newsletter, the Community Trust of Southland has come on board to support our touring programme into the Southland area – Arrowtown and Glenorchy. We are grateful for their contribution, and hope this will be the start of a great relationship.

We are pleased to announce some new benefactors – Lady Stewart, John Charrington and Pamela McBride, Joy Leslie, and the Michael Hill International Violin Competition.

It is never too late to become a Patron, Sponsor or Benefactor – please get in touch with us if you require further information – info@festivalofcolour.co.nz

Volunteers

If you are interested in helping out during the Festival and haven’t done so already, then please register your interest with Jo – info@festivalofcolour.co.nz. There are a variety of jobs to do – working as front of house welcoming audiences to events, collecting performers and artists from the airport, driving them to venues and stuffing envelopes – so if you would like to help out in any way then we would value your support.

Programme launch and Ticket sales

The programme is launched on 12 February and programmes will then be posted out to our database and will be available in cafes and shops all round Wanaka and the surrounding areas, at the i-SITE in Wanaka, or pop into the office to pick up a copy. If you would like to make sure that you are on our mailing list then please email us with your full postal address and we’ll make sure you get a copy – info@festivalofcolour.co.nz.

Public ticket sales commence on 23 February.

If you know someone who would be interested in this email then please pass it on and help to spread the word.

Be inspired … Be astounded … Be in Wanaka … Be there.
