Latest News : Coming soon: Don McGlashan - Free tickets for patrons

We’re hurtling through February and this time next year we will be announcing the programme for the fourth Festival of Colour to run between 12 – 17 April 2011.

In the meantime, in association with Arts on Tour NZ, we are delighted to be able to bring Don McGlashan to the Luggate Hall on Saturday 24 April. Those who heard him perform in the first festival in 2005 will know the truth of Russell Baillie’s comments:

“McGlashan is among our finest songwriters. He’s our greatest musical storyteller. His narrative songs of people and places, supported by his tunesmith’s ear, have always resonated” –NZ Herald.

Tickets will be available from 29 March and there will be two ticketing options – the show only at $20, or show plus 2 course dinner at the Luggate Hotel for $55. That way you can dine before the show, take a glass of wine over the road and enjoy the wonderful music of Don McGlashan.

Watch out for more news on how to purchase tickets closer to the time.

Free tickets for Patrons

In the meantime don’t forget to sign up as a Patron as we will be running a competition for two free tickets to this performance just for patrons. There are a number of payment options including monthly payments - at only $39 per month it’s a great way to spread the cost and support the festival. So either contact Lindsey in the office or follow this link http://www.festivalofcolour.co.nz/join_us.html and download the form and send it in to the office before tickets go on sale on March 29.

Benefactors will receive two complimentary tickets each.

Please note that the festival office has moved and we are now at 4 Helwick Street, Wanaka, just by the Ardmore Street corner. Follow the signs for Art Upstairs.

Be inspired … Be astounded … Be in Wanaka … Be there.

The next Festival of Colour takes place on 12 to 17 April 2011
