With flute, guitar and viola, this concert will take you on a journey from the Viennese and Italian Classics through to Piazzolla and other 20th century composers. Serenata a Tre are a trio with wit, charm and esprit.

Two New Zealanders share the stage with Italian guitarist Giovanni Seneca. Barbara Hill studied with James Galway and is an accomplished recital artist who has toured extensively. Donald Maurice is well-known around the country as a chamber music tourist. He is Professor of Music at the New Zealand School of Music.

Giovanni Seneca is a renowned Italian guitarist and composer of film music. His Sonata Latina, inspired by Italian and Mediterranean music traditions, will be premiered on this tour.
